Heating and Hot water

Heating in the Little Slate House is controlled on the Thermostate in the Kitchen, just on the right, as you walk in from the hallway. There is also a digital main control panel in the cupboard above the worksurface closest to the window.

We are an energy-conscious household, so please try to be aware of how much hot water you are using. Of course, please use what you need to be comfortable, but try not to waste energy so we can reduce the pollution of our beautiful planet.

Hot Water

As a default, there will be plenty of hot water for showers and baths for all guests at 6am through to 10pm. However, we hope you will get muddy enough during your stay to need the "boost" button!

If the hot water runs out at any point. Please press the "boost" button with a tap sign on it and in a few minutes, it will be replenished ready for you to get jazzed up for a trip to the pub.

Heating

Use the thermostat on the wall as you walk into the kitchen to control the temperature day-to-day. But if you come in from a long walk in the cold and want a quick burst of heat all around the house. Flick the "Boost" button with the radiator sign on it for a quick fix.
